Georgette Welsby, 98, died November 21, 2012 at the St. Ann Healthcare Center. She was born April 14, 1914 in Quebec City, Quebec the daughter of Isidore and Josephine (Renaud) Bedard. Prior to moving to St. Ann s, Georgette was a communicant of St. Martin Church. Devoted to her family, Georgette focused her attention on her husband, children and grandchildren. Using her creative skills she loved to knit, crochet and bake for her loved ones. She was a Den Mother when her boys were young. Georgette was the widow of Frederick F. Welsby who died in 1999. Members of her family include her sons, James Welsby of Somersworth, Kenneth Welsby of Rochester, her daughters, Diane Welsby of Wilburton, OK, Carole Welsby of Jacksonville, NC, Gladys Noel and Bridgette Welsby both of Grand Junction, CO. Georgette is also survived by her sisters, Lucille Drolet and Helene Boivin both of Quebec City. She cherished her 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 10:45 am in the Chapel of St. Ann Healthcare Center where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am with Rev. Donald McAllister, chaplain as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
