Gerald “Jerry”
F. Becker
Aug 23, 1939 — Sep 12, 2021
Eliot- Gerald F. Becker, 82, of Woodbine Ave. in South Eliot, died peacefully on September 12, 2021 at Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.
Born in Summit, NY on August 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Raymond Becker and Marion (Hayes) Becker. Following high school, Jerry joined the US Air Force, serving at PEASE where he met his loving wife of sixty-two years, Brenda (Cole) Becker. They were married on July 18, 1959, and after spending three years based in Japan, they made South Eliot their home.
Jerry worked for over thirty years as an Engineer at Neslab Instruments, where he was a leader in the design of many new products for the research and medical fields.
Jerry's first love was, unquestionably, his family. He loved watching his children and grandchildren grow and enjoyed spending time with them as they were active in sports and school activities. He treasured time spent with everyone at camp. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing. Jerry and Brenda loved keeping their yard and home welcoming for family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, three children and their families, Cheryl and Kevin Thim, Dale and Denise Becker and Laurie and John DuBois; nine grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Johnson, Casey and Megan Becker, Amy and Tom Hill, Cody and Anna Becker, Brynne, Natalie and Kellyn DuBois, Courtney and Danny Thim; six great grandchildren; Finn and Silas Johnson, CJ, Addie and Miles Becker and a great grandson due in December. Funeral services will be held for family. A full obituary and online condolences may be made by visiting www.jspelkeyfuneralhome.com .
