Gerald "Jerry"
Ilaria
Jun 11, 1948 — Feb 2, 2016
Kittery - Gerald ("Jerry") John Ilaria, Jr. passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. His faith in God was the center of his life. He was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, "God Daddy" and friend.
Jerry was born and raised in New Jersey. He earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in business, then proudly served in the U. S. Air Force. He enjoyed living in Maine for the past 40 years. He established his own hospital safety consulting firm, Quality Safety Systems, which he headed for over 25 years, ensuring that hospitals throughout New England and beyond maintained the highest standards of safety.
Jerry loved being outdoors, whether it was skiing, swimming or mowing the lawn, and his passion was sailing. He spent many, many happy hours at sea on C Magic.
Most of all, family was of the utmost importance to him. He thanks everyone who prayed for him, especially during his final days.
He is survived by Terrie, his wife of 18 years, his son Cory, sister June (Harry), sisters- and brother-in-law Barb (Blair), Bonnie (Andrew) and Tom (Kathy), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
