Kittery, Maine – Gerald F. Walker, 78, of Kittery, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

He was born on July 13, 1937 in Troy, Maine, a son of the late Frank and Phebe (Sargent) Walker.

Prior to his retirement, Gerald was employed as a truck driver for Granite State Minerals, a job he truly loved.

Not only did he love to drive truck, he also enjoyed his time in his garage watching the traffic go by and having a beer with friends who would stop by to shoot the breeze.

Besides his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, June (Stuart) Walker; grandparents, Herbert and Lizzie Walker; brothers, Michael and Phillip Walker; and his dear friend, Jerry Littlefield.

Survivors include his children, Lorraine Simmons and her husband, Alexander of Bronx, NY; David Walker and his wife, Cherie of Kittery; five grandchildren, Matthew Simmons, Gavin Simmons, Lena Simmons, Jason Stevens and Katelyn Haigh; one great granddaughter, Jenessa Stevens; a sister, Anita Latham; three brothers, Dale Walker and his wife, Liana, Robin Walker, and Raymond Eldridge; sister-in-law, Glenis Walker; an aunt, Mary Sargent and an uncle, Ronald Walker; blood brother, Gene I and sister-in -law, Donna Himes, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
