Geraldine Mary Esty, 74, beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and friend to many, passed peacefully on August 24, 2026 surrounded by her loving sons, granddaughter and longtime best friend Norma Carter at York Hospital, York , ME.

Geri was born to Michael and Bernice Glanner (Zolondek) on December 5, 1951 in Grafton, ND. Her early years she lived on a farm in Ardock, ND where they raised cattle until moving to Minto, ND in 1964 where Geri attended Minto High School graduating with honors and continuing her education in phlebotomy. She became a valued employee at Labcorp for over 35 years.

Geri was very proud of her Polish background and being a part of a large Military family but nothing made her more proud than her 2 sons Rob and Eric. Her dedication to her boys included never missing a sporting event, and insuring they traveled to ND from ME every summer to be with their family. Working several jobs to provide for them and their every need. Her dedication continued in 2008 when she became grandma Geri to Isabelle, her only grandchild.

Later in life, Geri traveled to ND, a trip that took several days, to care for her aging mother spending several months insuring her mother’s needs were met.

Geri will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, camping even in the coldest of weather. Her love of a good bargain and treasure hunting/yard sales was a hobby she enjoyed as it allowed her to provide some of the most unique gifts for her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Rob Esty, and granddaughter Isabelle Esty, Gorham , NH, son Eric Esty, Gorham,NH. Brother Jeff Glanner, Minto, ND and sister-in-law Mary Glanner, Grafton, ND. She was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Bernice Glanner and brother Michael Glanner, Grafton ND.
