Kittery- Geraldine J. Wheeler 91 formerly a long time resident of Rogers Road in Kittery died on October 30, 2022 at Sentry Hill in York Harbor following a period of failing health.

Born in Mechanic Falls Maine on January 19, 1931 a daughter of the late Zeri A. And Lois (Yeaton) Berry.

On January 16, 1960 she married her loving husband of fifty seven years, Walter Wheeler Sr.  And together they made their home and raised a family on Rogers Road.

Active in her community Gerry was a Den Mother, assistant Girl Scout Leader, and Meals on Wheels Volunteer for many years. She was a cornerstone member of St.Marks United Methodist Church where she served on many committees as well as taught Sunday school and served as the Sunday school superintendent and chaired the annual Christmas Fair for over eighteen years .

She was an Avon Sales Representative for nearly forty five years and made so many dear friends throughout the area while active in Avon. She was a well known fixture at Christmas time in the local parades for nearly thirty years as Mrs. Claus, at the Kittery Trading Post where she entertained and took cherished Christmas photographs with thousands of Children over the years as Mrs. Claus and in the local schools.

Gerry is survived by her children; James Wheeler and his wife Joyce, Cassi Bullis and her husband Randy, Russell and his wife Kathy Wheeler, David and his wife Robin Wheeler, Gary and his wife Cheryl Wheeler , Jane Beach and her husband Terry, twenty two cherished grand and forty one great and fourteen great great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Walter Sr and children Walter Jr and Brenda Tripp.
