Glen Marquis, born July 18th, 1962, in Dover, Delaware, peacefully passed away on April 17th, 2024, after a short illness at Boston Brigham Hospital with his daughter by his side.
Raised in Connecticut before settling in Eliot, Maine. He worked at Hanscom's Truck Stop, also known as Buzzys, for over 30 years, where he made lifelong friends with coworkers and truck drivers. On his off time, he enjoyed camping and yelling at the TV while watching sports and NASCAR. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, friend, and neighbor. Spending time with his two granddaughters was the highlight of his life. He was always smiling around them and loved spoiling them with little treats daily.
He is survived by his children Justin Marquis of Standish, Maine, Katelynn Marquis, and partner Kurt Plaza of Eliot. His two granddaughters, Starann and Cora. His siblings: Suzette Batchelder and her partner Frank Stevens of Kittery, ME; Dennis Marquis and partner Lynn Cebula of Kittery, ME; Brian Marquis and wife Lynn of Clinton, CT., and Lynn McPherson and husband James of Eliot.
He is predeceased by his parents, Albert Marquis and Margaret (Cisowski) Marquis, and daughter, Brooke Marquis.
A celebration of life is being held on July 27th at the Eliot boat basin. Donations can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Boston.
