Kittery- Harry Joseph Hannigan, 82 of Stevenson Road in Kittery died on September 21, 2015 at his home following a period of failing health. Harry was born on July 8, 1933 in Norfolk Virginia, a son of the late John Andrew and Amelia Martha Hannigan. He served his country as a member of the United States Army. He met and in 1962 married his loving wife Patricia A. ( Brown) Hannigan and together they made their home and raised a family in Kittery. Harry retired following thirty five years working for Public Service Company of New Hampshire. Most of his career as a lineman. His quick Irish wit, strong sense of humor and enjoyment of people made him the perfect person to purchase and operate the Wyman Rooming House which he did for many years. He enjoyed the out of doors especially camping and fishing in his younger years with his family. His first love was unquestionably his family who will dearly miss him, including his children;Linda L (Hannigan) Therriault, Brian P Hannigan, and Julie Hannigan, grandchildren:Nathan C Theriault, Tonya L Theriault, Meghan Hannigan-McIntyre, Patrick K Hannigan, Shauna R Hannigan, great grandchildren: Aiden C Theriault, Damien R Dubay, and Kayden Malloy, and his sisters: Amelia Register and Alice Smith. He was pre-deceased by his brother John Hannigan II. Friends are invited to visit with Harry's family on Friday from 5-8 pm in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904. A graveside service and military honors will be celebrated on Saturday at noon in Orchard Grove Cemetery on Rogers Road in Kittery, followed by a time of refreshment and sharing at the Wyman Rooming House.
