Helen E Cutts' Obituary
Kittery Point-Helen Elizabeth Cutts, 87 of Haley Road in Kittery Point Maine died on September 4, 2016 at York Hospital. Born at home on Haley Road March 13, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Louis J and Annie (Tarling) Emmons. She attended school for a time during her high school years in Portland graduating from Deering high school. Helen lived most of her life on Haley Road, spending both her first and last day of life there. She enjoyed membership for over sixty seven years at the First Congregational Church at Kittery Point where she was a very active and well-known member. An active woman she enjoyed caring for her home and yard as well as her many animals over the years. She worked for many years as a sales associate at Filene's in Newington. Helen is survived by her children, sons William and Myra Cutts of Kittery Point and Dana Cutts of Kittery Point, a daughter Susan Cutts and her fiancé JJ Francoisse of California, grandchildren Andrew and Lindsey Cutts and Gianna and Maria Scarano, as well as a brother Joseph Emmons. She was predeceased by her son Alan Cutts and brothers Arthur and Louis Emmons. Friends are invited to visit with Helen's family on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Rd., Kittery, ME 03904. . A funeral will be celebrated at her church the First Congregational Church at Kittery Point on Pepperell Road in Kittery Point on September 10, 2016 at 10 AM with Reverend Brian Gruhn officiating. A time of sharing and refreshment will follow in the church parish hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals PO Box 196, 104 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH 03885. Care for the Cutts family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
