Homer Carl Burdick, Jr. ("Pnut"), born February 26, 1948, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Born and raised in Amesbury, Homer treasured family life with all his brothers, sisters and many cousins. Evenings and weekends were spent playing football, hockey and track for Amesbury High School. After graduation, Homer proudly served his country in the US Navy before returning home and marrying the love of his life, Robin. He worked for over 40 years as an equipment operator, where Homer particularly enjoyed being outside and working with heavy machinery.

Eventually settling in Kittery, Maine, Homer and Robin built a beautiful life raising their two children in a home filled with laughter, love and a lot of New England sports games. You could always find Homer tending to his garden, completing another home improvement project or watching sports and westerns. Nothing was more important to him than his family, and Homer never missed the opportunity to make memories with them, be it at Fenway Park, a backyard gathering or relaxing by the water with his feet in the sand.

Homer was predeceased by his father, Homer Carl Burdick, Sr., mother Alice and brother Billy. He leaves behind: His wife of nearly 50 years, Robin, daughter Allison and husband Chad, and son Matthew, as well as siblings Arthur, Barbara, Mary, Patty (Steve), and Peter (Lynn); stepbrother "Gene Hamel (Jo). As well as Robin's brothers Mike (Mel) and Dave. Homer is survived by his cherished granddaughters Madison and Ella, as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that became family.

A memorial service will be held for Homer on Friday, November 7, 2025 at  11a, at the Saint John's Episcopal Church in Portsmouth.
