Irene Louise (Littlefield) Gray of Kittery passed peacefully at York Hospital shortly after midnight Saturday, Oct 21st with loving family at her side, following a brief illness. She was born in Kittery on August 5th,1930 to Arthur Roy Littlefield and Mildred Blanche Langley, and raised by Arthur and his immediate family. She graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1949; on November 25th that year she wed Herbert French Gray of Melrose MA. They settled in Kittery and were married for sixty loving years. She greatly enjoyed her family, road trips, and summers on Silver Lake in Madison, NH. She is predeceased by her husband. Survivors include a half brother, August "Gus" Hey, Jr. of Ruckersville VA; four children: Robert A. Gray and his wife Shealagh of Kittery, Steven P. Gray and his wife Regina Donnell of York, Pamela J.Gray and her partner Andrew Glazier of Eliot, and Janet L. LaChance and her husband Joseph of Wells. She is also survived by four grandchildren: John Geoffrion Jr., Jennifer Gray, Scott Gray and Megan Verney; seven great-grandchildren (and an eighth on the way), and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their spouses/partners.
