South Berwick, ME - Jack Fortier, 79, passed away March 3rd 2022 at his residence. He was born on August 7, 1942 in Rochester, New Hampshire to Jenny Gertrude King, and Lorenzo O. Fortier of Pine Hill Rd., Berwick Me.

He is survived by his wife Julia Anderson Fortier, married November 26, 1994. His son Troy Fortier and wife Stacy of Merrimack, NH, daughter Sandra Thomas, significant other Gary, of Rochester, NH, his son Todd Fortier and wife Holly, of Berwick, Me., Stepson James Elios of Portsmouth, NH, Stepdaughter Corrine Elios of South Berwick, Me., 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his sister, June Harkins and husband Mike of Tabor City, NC.

He served as a Boiler Technician in the U.S. Navy active and reserve duty from 1961-until he was honorably discharged in 1967. He retired from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a sheet metal mechanic and was also the owner of the South Berwick Construction Company. Jack was a Lifetime member of the Martel-Roberge American Legion Post 47 Rollinsford, NH and Elks Lodge #184 Dover, NH.
He was an active Member of the American Post 47 Riders Jack loved hunting, fishing, downhill snow skiing, and horseback riding. He also
enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing cards, bowling, horse shoes and was an avid pool player. His greatest love was sharing his life with Julia and spending time with all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren while watching them grow up.
