Obituary

New Durham- Jacqueline Bourgoine, 81, of Jenkins Road in New Durham died on March 4, 2014 at Colonial Hill Care in Rochester following a period of failing health. Born in Rochester on May 15, 1932, she was a daughter of Frank and Laura ( Landry ) Cyr. She was raised in Somersworth attending St. Martin Academy and graduating from Somersworth High School. She worked for over twenty years at General Electric as an inspector in the quality control department. In 1974 she married her loving and devoted husband of nearly forty years Clifford Bourgoine and together they made a home in Rochester as she became a home maker caring for their family. They built their home in New Durham twenty eight years ago. Jackie loved her home in the country and enjoyed watching the wildlife in her backyard. She was an active member of the Farmington Women's Club and St. Peter's Catholic Church. Jackie and Clifford enjoyed many trips together, out West in their conversion van, to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and many local day trips always together enjoying each other's company. Jackie is survived by her loving family, her husband Clifford, two daughters Sharon Emerson of Rochester, Patricia Martell of Farmington, her step children, Tony Bourgoine of Wilton, Jill Bourgoine of Farmington, and Angela Hobbs of New Durham. Two sisters, Pauline Holmes of Sanford, Maine, Rachel Burke of Farmington, and one brother Roland Cyr of Kileen, Texas. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Madeline Desrosiers of Somersworth. Friends are invited to visit with Jackie's family on Monday March 10th from 5-7 pm in the Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street Somersworth NH 03878. A graveside service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. Care for the Bourgoine family has been entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home .
