Berwick- Jacqueline "Jackie" F. Hutchins, 92, formerly of Tall Timbers Dive in Berwick, died on April 9, 2023, at Bellamy Fields where she called home for a number of years.

Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on March 28, 1931, she was the daughter of Richard and Bertha (Entwistle) Hutchings.

Jackie was raised in Kittery and attended local schools. In 1954 she met her late husband, Raymond Hutchins, at Dan's star Market, where she was working at the time.  They were marriedfor sixty-three years and raised two boys.  In 1967 and 1969 respectively, they adopted Mark and Eric.  Jackie was the most devoted mother, never missing an opportunity to be involved with her boys and their friends, including spending many summers at their camp on Square Pond.

Jackie was active in her community, was a cub scout den mother, and in the 70's and 80's she and her friends created the "Eliot Fun Band" and visited various nursing homes to entertain the residents, she played the washboard and kazoo. Jackie always kept moving, loved taking walks in the neighborhood,and she was always the life of the party.  She enjoyed tap dancing, ceramics, knitting, and crafting.

Over the years she worked with a number of small businesses in the area as a bookkeeper, including a number of years at Del's Service Station and St. Thomas Aquinas in Dover.

As the family grew, Jackie and Raymond moved to Berwick, adding grandchildren to the family, Chris, Nicole, and Vanessa, whom she adored.

Later in life, she and Ray made Maple Suites in Dover their home before she settled into Bellamy Fields.

Friends are invited to visit with her family on Wednesday April 19, 2023, from 5-7pm in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, Maine 03904. A funeral will be celebrated on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11am in the funeral home.
