DOVER - James F. Gagnon, 75, of 195 Dover Point Road died September 9, 2013 at the St. Ann Healthcare Center in Dover. He was born July 5, 1938 in Van Buren, Maine the son of Norman and Cecile (Levasseur) Gagnon. James was a Brother in the Marist Community having attended the Marist Seminary. Prior to retirement, James was the Manager of Food Services at Tufts University. He was a member of the Rosary Society at Sacred Heart Church in Lynn, Mass. In his free time, James did extensive research in genealogy. James was the widower of Judy (Beechin) Gagnon. Members of his family include his brothers, John Gagnon of Limestone, Maine, Rev. Mr. Fabian (Michael) Gagnon of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Stephen Gagnon of Chelsea, Maine and Peter Gagnon of Berwick, Maine also, his sisters, Mary Ann Gagnon of Berwick, Maine, Rachel Dube of Dover, New Hampshire, Phyllis Wright of Forestville, Connecticut, and Joyce Gagnon of Bristol, Connecticut, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Demi. Visitation will be Friday from 4-6 p.m. in Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street Somersworth, New Hampshire. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Martin Church, Somersworth with Rev. Michael Taylor as celebrant. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick, Maine.
