Acton, Maine: Jamie L. Tanguay, 56, of Acton, died October 4, 2013 at the Hyder Family Hospice House. He was born in Rochester, June 21, 1957 the son of Roger and Viola (Price) Tanguay. Jamie was a graduate of Somersworth High School. He was an avid NASCAR fan and he was a member of the American Legion Post # 69 Somersworth. Family and friends will remember Jamie as a great humanitarian, he loved life, was very compassionate always wanting to assist others. Toys for Tots, helping the homeless were among those on which he focused his energy and resources. He had been employed by Entech Corp in New York as a superintendent/Operating Engineer. Members of his family include his wife, Ada (Ashburn) Tanguay, his son, Jade of West Bloomfield, MI, his daughter, Colie Caplette of Berwick, his brother, Rick of Florida, his sisters, Dawn of Berwick, and Lynne of Oakland, Maine. Also, his grandchildren, Alexis, James, Garrett, Nicolas, Cole and Giavanna. He was receded in death by his parents, his brother Thomas and his sister, Bonnie-Rebecca. Visitation will be Monday from 5-9pm in Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Holy Trinity Church, 404 High St. Somersworth with Rev. Michael S. Taylor, pastor as celebrant.
