Portsmouth-Jane Louise Trafton Dailey, of Portsmouth, died peacefully at the age of 77, on June 1, 2022 following a period of failing health.  Jane was born at the Naval Shipyard Hospital in Kittery on December 30, 1944.  She was preceded in death by her parents Marshall Trafton and Louise Philbrick Trafton, and her son Erik Jon Rappolt.  Jane was raised in Portsmouth and graduated from Portsmouth High School in the class of 1962.  Jane enjoyed crafts of all sorts, especially card making.  She was an avid gardener, an antique enthusiast, and a fabulous cook. Jane's home was always welcome to all.  Jane enjoyed adventure and she spent several years living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Columbus, Ohio before finding her final home back in Portsmouth.  Jane enjoyed drives along the beach with her husband, Ted, in his 1956 Chevy.  Jane loved her family.  She is survived by her son Bryan Rappolt, her daughter-in-law, Paula Rappolt, and her son Matthew Rappolt (Kara), her grandchildren Jakob and Allie, Henry, Ted, and Benjamin Rappolt.  She is survived by her husband, Ted Dailey, his son Paul Dailey (Kim Ann)  and his daughter Kim Dailey, as well as her brother Robert Trafton (Marilyn).
