Obituary

Jane Larrabee Paterson, 84, a third-grade Elementary school educator, passed away peacefully at home with her daughters, Dennise and Donna, by her side. Jane was born on December 12, 1939, to Donald W Larrabee and Jesse R Larrabee in Auburn, ME.

Jane was the first in her family to attend college and was passionate about teaching Math, Science, and Penmanship. The Jane Paterson Math Award was established in her honor after teaching for 45 years in the Kittery School System. Jane was a dedicated New England Sports fan and an avid gardener.

Jane will be deeply missed by her daughter, Donna Paterson Todd; her children, Michaela Pride; her husband, DJ Pride, and her great-granddaughter, Ellie Pride, Erica Todd, Angela Todd; her daughter, Dennise Paterson FitzGerald and her children, Cody FitzGerald, his wife China FitzGerald, Keely FitzGerald, many nieces and nephews and all her friends. Special thanks to her neighbors and friends for always being a phone call away. Ashley Djoumbaye, the staff of Seacoast at Home and Beacon Hospice, thank you for the exceptional care they gave our mother over the past few months.

Calling hours will be held at Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd, Kittery, Maine, on Saturday, March 2, from 4-6 pm. The funeral service will be held at Pelkey Funeral Home on March 3 from 1-3 pm.
