On Friday, March 21st, 2025, Janine Yvonne Mahoney, 54 years of age, sadly passed away at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Janine was born on January 24, 1971, at Malden Hospital in Massachusetts. She grew up in Malden where she met her husband and attended Malden High School, which she completed in 1989. After the birth of their daughter, she and her husband moved to Eliot, Maine, where they reside.

Janine is predeceased by her Father, Roy Nickerson Jr. and her Half Brother, Jacob Nickerson.

She is survived by her Husband, Robert Mahoney; Mother and Stepfather, Gloria and Roger Pecz; Step brother, Robert Wilbur; Daughter Madison Mahoney; Son (Devin  Mahoney), and Step Sons, Ryan Mahoney, Jake Mahoney, Kevin Mahoney, and Bobby Jr. Mahoney. In addition she was survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Janine was a caring human being who was passionate about showing her love through food. She enjoyed going for walks at dead duck, watching Judge Judy, reading, swimming,  being on the beach, and swinging on her swing. She was a strong and determined woman who would do anything to protect her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held for Janine. At this time the date is to be determined and will be shared by her children at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Stroke Association in Janine's honor.

The family would like to thank friends, family, and their communities for their support during these times. They would also like to thank the staff of Portsmouth Regional Hospital for the incredible and compassionate care they provided Janine during her final moments and the moments leading up to her death. Janine will be greatly missed, there is no doubt that she will continue to share her love in the afterlife.
