Jeannette L. (Dubois) Desjardins, 86, of Berwick, formerly of Somersworth, died March 20, 2014 after a brief illness. She died with her loving family around her. Born in Sanford, July 31, 1927, she was the daughter of Arsene and Angelina (Grondin) Dubois. She was the widow of Hector Desjardins who died in 1999. She had retired from the Somersworth School System where she had been the bookkeeper for the School Lunch Program. Jeannette was a communicant of St. Martin Church, was a member of the DAV Auxiliary in Newington, the VFW Auxiliary in Sanford, and was a member of the St. Martin's Choir. She enjoyed music and bowling. Members of her family include her son, David Desjardins and wife Michele of Chazy, NY, her daughters, Denise Lepine and husband David of Rochester and Michelle Strate and husband Timothy of Berwick, her brother, Victor "Bob" Dubois of Yorba Linda, CA, and a sister, Theresa Champagne and her husband Robert of Springvale. Also, her pride and joys, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Roland, George, Donalda, Lucielle and Beatrice. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in St. Martin Church, Somersworth with Rev. Michael S. Taylor, pastor as celebrant.
