Jeannette C Furbish (Provost), born on September 6, 1931 in Concord NH, passed away at age 93 on February 7, 2025 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Amesbury MA.

Jeannette was raised in Concord until the age of five, when the family moved to Portsmouth NH.  She attended Portsmouth High School, married, and had three children, settling in Kittery Point, Maine.  She then married Eugene Bancroft with whom she traveled extensively for many happy years, visiting such places as Hawaii, Alaska, and Great Britain when they weren't spending time with their grandchildren.

After Eugene's passing, she enjoyed many years married to Howard Furbish living on the Piscataqua River in Eliot Maine.  After Howard's passing, she continued to travel the world, including Australia/New Zealand with sister Gloria, and an European cruise with three life-long high school friends.  Upon retirement, she volunteered at a Health Clinic in Kittery, Maine.

Photography became an early passion for Jeannette and after taking classes, she always documented her travels with many pictures.  She also loved to sing, and liked to tell the story of how she sang on the radio as a teenager.  Years later she would even sing with the band at her 80th birthday party.

Throughout the years, Jeannette was a faithful member of St. Raphael's Church in Kittery Maine, and her faith remained strong until the end.

Jeannette is predeceased by husbands Roland Connell, Eugene Bancroft, and Howard Furbish.
She leaves behind sister Dolores Cassell, and is predeceased by siblings Gloria Gindlesperger, Sylvia Costa, and Richard Provost.
Jeannette also leaves behind her three children and their families: Michael Connell and spouse Beverly Connell, Debra Hazen and spouse Ray Hazen, Scott Connell and spouse Faith Connell, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit with Jeannette's family on Tuesday February 18, 2025 from 4-6pm in the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael Church in Kittery on Wednesday February 19, 2025 at 11am.
