Obituary

Jeannine R. Wentworth, 87, of Somersworth, died peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

She was born January 24, 1938, the daughter of Lucien and Rose Normand.  She was a life-long resident of Somersworth and worked many years at SAU44 in Northwood, NH, where she retired.

Jeannine was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Whether she was hosting a holiday gathering, spending weekends at camp, or playing cards with friends, she had a unique gift for making everyone feel valued and loved, creating cherished memories with those closest to her.

A woman with many passions, Jeannine lived with purpose and was devoted to her faith, regularly attending church and drawing strength from her spiritual beliefs. Together with her late husband, Wheezer, she raised three sons and cherished the joy of watching them grow alongside their children. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family, and she took great pride in the legacy she and her husband had built.  For many years, she found peace and happiness in the yard, Sailing, boating, and sitting by the campfire with family and friends at Ossipee Lake Camping Area. Jeannine also found great joy in activities like crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and painting ceramics, creating beautiful pieces that will remain treasured by her family.

Her kindness, infectious laugh, and unwavering love for her family will be missed more than words can express.

She is survived by son Dennis and wife Sharon of New Vineyard, ME, and son Scott and wife Debbie of Somersworth, NH. She was a proud "Gram" to seven grandchildren: Nicole White and husband Adam, Ashley Canney and husband Kevin, Zackary Wentworth and wife Andrea, Jesse Wentworth, Adam and Ashley Tibbetts, and Tanner Wentworth, and great-granddaughters Reagan Canney and Brielle White.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband David (Wheezer), sister Connie, brother Ronald, and son Ricki.
