Eliot- Jeffrey Harold Dunton , 56 of Eliot passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on October 18, 2017 at his home. Born in Portsmouth NH, on January 5, 1961 he was a son of the late David and Elaine ( Davis ) Dunton and attended local schools.
Jeff was employed by Ocean Properties for over twenty years where he was a maintainence supervisor . He was previously self employed as owner of Rainman Irrigation.
He was loved by everyone he met for his kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. Jeff loved riding his motorcycle and took pride in the home he was building in Eliot. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his son Adam Brake, brothers Steven Dunton of Eliot, Kurt and his wife Tracy Dunton of South Berwick, step daughter Jessica Stanley Thorn, grandchildren Jacob and Juliana Thorn, Courtney, Haylie, and Hannah Alessi, several great grandchildren, neices and nephews, his former spouse Jan Stanley and inlaws, and his life companion Sheila Katsanos and his beloved pride and joy german shepherd Lenny. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Timothy and David Dunton.
Freinds are invited to join his family for a time of visitation from 10-12 on Sunday October 29, 2017 in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis , TN 38105. Or to K9's for Warriors 114 Camp K9 Road Ponte Vedra Florida 32081. Care for the Dunton family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
