Joan E. Hurley passed peacefully on September 16, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born June 16, 1949, in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late John A. Harris and Joan C. Harris of Beverly, MA. Joan was a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt. She was a resident of Maine for the last 20 years and recently retired from Kennebunk Savings Bank, where she was known as the smiling, cheerful, friendly person greeting customers at the York financial branch. She was an active and cherished friend of many at Meeting House Village in Kittery, ME. She graduated from Swampscott High School in MA, class of 1967. She had a love for travel, spending time with family and friends, and her kitty, Mia.

Joan is survived by her husband of 56 years, David P. Hurley, Kittery, ME; their sons: David J. Hurley and wife Lynsey, Lynn, MA, Derek M. Hurley and wife Joyce, Rochester, NH, and Jason D. Hurley and wife Kerri, Seabrook, NH; sister, Susan Barbarino and husband Joseph, Alfred, ME; brothers, Robert Harris and wife Sandra, Peabody, MA, Kenneth Harris and wife Jeannie, Lynn, MA, and Lawrence Harris and wife Monica, Lynn, MA; grandchildren: Devon, Taylor, Quinlan, Ainsley, Neala, Colton; great-grandson Armani; and many nieces and nephews.
