Joan Alice Kulickowski of Kittery, Maine passed away on August 7th, 2026 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years Vincent “Skip” Kulickowski III, her son David O’Connor and brothers Charles F. Rowe and Edwin M. (& Louise) Rowe

Joan was born on March 31st, 1936, in Boston Mass to parents Charles and Alice Rowe. She became LPN nursing certified at Beverly Hospital in Beverly Mass. She worked in the Portsmouth Hospital intensive care unit and then with Kittery Family Practice until retirement.

Joan is survived by her daughter Ellen Cronauer and son-in-law Greig Cronauer of Eliot Maine, sister Virginia Edwards and her husband Al Edwards of Eliot, Maine, sister-in-law Nell Rowe of Somerset Mass, and step-children through marriage Karen Murphy, Vincent (& Ala) Kulickowski IV, Kathy (& Bill) Fournier, Kim (& Jim) Kieffer, Jeanne (& Mike) Heller, Eric (& Heather) Kulickowski, and Karl (& Karen) Kulickowski.

With Skip came his large family and she treasured her time with all her grandchildren and step-grandchildren, 18 in all. Not to mention her 24 great grandchildren, and an abundant number of nieces and nephews.

She volunteered at her beloved St. John’s Church and was active with the Alter Guild and many of the Church organizations. She loved camping with her husband and was a member of the Chickadee camping club. She also loved sewing and knitting with her friends and will be sorely missed by her friends and family.

Her celebration of life will be held at St. John’s on Friday, August 21st with a service at 11:00 am followed by a reception in Baxter Hall then a short internment at Brooks Cemetery in Eliot Maine at 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. John’s Common Table at St. John’s Church.
