Joan A. (O Sullivan) Lynch, 80, of Somersworth, died September 16, 2013 at Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover. She was born June 14, 1933 in Boston, Ma. The daughter of Frank and Agnes (Buckley) O Sullivan. Joan was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, Class of 1950. Joan worked at N.E. Telephone as an operator for 10 years. A very community orientated person, Joan was a member of the Hill Top Lions Club #13, having served in all chairs. She was also the Lions Religious Chair, 44H. Joan also was a member of the Somersworth Housing Authority. She was a communicant of St. Martin Church where she served as a lector and a religious education teacher. Joan s husband, David J. Lynch died in 1991. Members of her family include, her son, David F. Lynch and his wife, Patricia of Rochester, her daughters, Eileen T. Lenane also of Rochester, Christine (Mrs. Robert) Hatton of Dighton, MA, Jody-Anne Bousquin of Rochester, Kathleen Stone of Somersworth, and Maureen (Mrs. Andrew) Callaghan of Rochester. Joan is also survived by her sister, Maureen (Mrs. John) Shea of Lady Lake, FL, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandsons, baby boy Bousquin and Kevin F. Lenane, her brothers, Francis O Sullivan and Daniel C. Buckley and a sister, Kathleen Jameson. Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 12-2pm and 4-7 pm at St. Martin Church, Somersworth where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11am by Rev. Michael S. Taylor, pastor. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
