Barrington – Joanne Rodney, 83, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at her home, following a period of failing health.

Born March 9, 1942, in South Berwick, ME, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Guignard) Shevelin.

Joanne had worked as a medical secretary for many years. She loved animals, gardening, reading, baking, dancing, doing aerobics, and above all that, her family and friends. She was especially devoted to her loving husband Errol.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lori Shaw of Barrington, NH; and Lisa Pease; brother, Tom Shevelin of Milton, NH; sister, Eileen Shevelin, Dover, NH; as well as four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sons Steven and Daniel Rodney.

A Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, February 10th at 11a, at the St Ignatius of Loyola Parish, St. Martin Church, 120 Maple Street, Somersworth, NH, 03878. Care for the Rodney family has been entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home.
