York- JoAnne Spirito, 59, of York, Maine passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2017. Born June 29, 1958, the daughter of Lena and Harry Spirito. She was a graduate of Cheshire High School.

JoJo loved to laugh and had a generous spirit. Her young adult life was dedicated to caring for children, especially her surviving nephews, Kyle Clark, Sam (Nadia) Clark, and her niece Emma Clark. For the past 12 years she has been a dedicated employee of York Hospital.

Along with her niece and nephews, JoAnne is survived by her husband, William Durgin, her mother, Lena Spirito, a brother, Harry (Cynthia) Spirito, and two sisters, Laurie (Jud) Knox and Judi (Jim) Lausier.
