John Arthur Dinan Jr., 95, passed November 18 at his home, with his family, in Topsfield, Mass.

He was the son of the late John and Theresa (McDonald) Dinan and was predeceased by his wife Joan (Brun) Dinan, sister Helen Dinan, and son-in-law John Meehan.

He is survived by a niece Margaret Machorro, and six children; Elizabeth Dinan of Portsmouth, N. H., John Dinan III of Topsfield, Mass., Joseph Dinan of Amesbury, Mass., Catherine Dinan Jackson of Hampstead, N. H. (and her husband James Jackson), Anne Dinan of Exeter, N. H. (and her husband Michael McCord) and Patricia Dinan Meehan of West Newbury, Mass. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Colin and Ryan Meehan, Emily Dinan Muhammad (and her husband Salahuddin Muhammad), and Mathieu Dinan (and his wife Melanie Fernandez Dinan). He had one great-grandson, Salahuddin "D. J." Muhammad.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lynn, Mass.
