Kittery- John Richard Emery, Jr "Rick" 63, of Kittery died peacefully at sunrise on April 21, 2018 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital.

Rick was a son of the late John and Eleanor "Honey" Emery and is survived by his sister Dayle Jones and her husband Michael, sister Cynthia Emery, sister Rebecca Jenkins and wife Sharon Demeritt, brother Christopher Emery and wife Joyce as well as several nieces and nephews and a great niece, aunts, uncles, cousins and many life Long friends.

He was raised in Kittery Point, attended RW Traip Academy and to all who knew him was a fisherman, lobsterman, hunter, and for a short time meat cutter and very talented artist who could capture nature scenes, seascapes, and wildlife on any type of media. His art was not limited to canvass as he painted many works on saw-blades, shovels, RV's or anything by special request.

Rick could be found most early mornings enjoying a cup of coffee in his truck at "the warf" shooting the breeze with friends heading out for a day of fishing.

Friends are invited to visit with Rick's family and share stories and remembrances from 5-8pm on Friday April 27, 2018 in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904.
