John Lygren, peacefully passed away on July 22, 2023, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on July 25, 1934, in Bergen, Norway to parents Ole and Marta (Treland) Lygren

John earned his degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of New Hampshire. He had a long career with Clarostat Mfg. Co., In Dover and El Paso, TX. An athletic man, he was an expert skier and spent many years as a Ski Patrol Member at Moose Mountain ski area in Brookfield, NH.

He was predeceased by his sister Bjorg Knott.

John leaves behind his wife of 42 years Joan (Roy) Lygren.   His daughters Kari Lygren of Milton Mills, NH and Kirsten Lygren of Alexandria, NH. Grandchildren Sheehan Lygren and his wife Grace and his great granddaughter Vivian. Christopher Lygren, John Gray and his wife Amanda
and Marta Gray.

Services are private. Care for the Lygren family has been entrusted to the Bernier-Pelkey Funeral Home.
