Dover - John E. Murphy, 94, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. He was born July 16, 1928 in Bangor, ME and later moved to Presque Isle, ME.

After graduating High School, John enlisted in the Army in 1946. In 1949, he married Doris Evans and had two children, Dara & John. Upon moving back to Bangor in 1960, he began working at Dow Air Force Commissary. When Dow AFB closed, he transferred to Pease AFB and moved to Eliot, ME. Once retired, he continued to work part time at Sears, Roebuck & Co for several more years.
