ELIOT, ME - Jonathan William Duguay, 32, of Eliot, died unexpectedly on December 28 ^th 2022 at his home.  Jonathan was born April 12th, 1990 in Bangor and lived in Hudson until he was 4years old.  He moved with his family to Winthrop where he lived for 22years and attended Winthrop Schools and St. Francis Xavior Church.  Jon resided in Southern Maine with his family for the past 7years.  Jonathan was an amazing son and young man who, despite a different and at times difficult journey, always tried to do his very best .  Big Jon( 6'8') loved to help people and volunteered at a hot meal kitchen, Autism retreats, Sail Maine, Church, nursing homes and others..  He aspired to continue his education and was very proud when he successfully graduated from YCCC Gerontology program.  Jon loved fishing, snowboarding, boogie boarding, golfing, sailing and more.  Jonathan was the best traveling companion and loved trying new foods and meeting people on his adventures.  Jon was the most amazing "gruncle", he adored his nephew and nieces and loved family gatherings. Jon was also very proud to be working for many years at the Portsmouth Navy Shipyard through New England Goodwill. He will be forever deeply missed by his parents, Dennis and Lynne Duguay, his sister Robin(Jeremy), brother Brian(Vira), extended family, neighbors and others he touched along the way.  To know Jon was to know the best of human nature: compassion, understanding, empathy and love. Funeral Mass and burial at a later date.
