Obituary

Somersworth- Joseph Maurice (Moe) Bisson of 54 Myrtle St. in Somersworth, N.H. passed peacefully away on the morning of July 8, 2015 at the Rochester Manor. He was 93. Born in Somersworth NH on July 30, 1921 he was the son of Adolphe and M. Lea (Couture) Bisson. He attended St. Martins Commercial School and was a communicant of St. Martins Church in Somersworth NH. Moe enlisted in the United States Air Force in the 4th Squadron Combat Cargo on Aug. 12 1942 and fought in the China, Burma, and India Campaign until Honorably Discharged on Dec. 18, 1945. After the war Moe went to work as a mail carrier for the USPS in Somersworth. He married Anita Roberge on June 25, 1955. His brother Father Roger L. Bisson, White Father of the Missionaries of Africa officiated. Moe was a member in good standing of the American Legion and The Catholic War Veterans. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Anita and his brothers Joseph, Jules, Raymond, Leo and Adelard. Surviving members of his family include his son William and wife Patricia (Wilson) Bisson, his granddaughter Amber McGuire, Great Grandchildren Ryleigh and Carter McGuire, his brothers Roger, Paul and David of Florida and his sister Helene Houde of Somersworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 15 at 11 am in St. Martin's Church in Somersworth with military honors to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Remembrances may be sent to The Missionaries of Africa, in the care of Roger L. Bisson 5757 7th Ave. North St. Petersburg Fl. 33710.
