Joshua
Stevens
Aug 29, 1954 — Jan 24, 2024
Joshua (Josh) Park Stevens, of Kittery Point, Maine, passed away peacefully on January 24. He was 69 years old. Josh was born on August 29, 1954, to Dr Frederick and Leslie Stevens in Concord, NH. He was a graduate of Concord High School and the NH Technical Institute at Laconia, where he graduated with an
Associate Degree in Electrical Systems. He was a self-employed master electrician. Joshua was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Leslie Stevens, his sister-in-law Judith (Colburn) Stevens, and niece Elizabeth (Stevens) Andersen (Cuno). He is survived by a brother, John Stevens of Lovettsville, VA; a sister, Jane (Stevens) Pappas (Christopher) of Concord, NH; nieces, Kathryn (Stevens) Franck (Randy) and Anne (Pappas) Connors (Chris); nephews Matt Pappas (Beth) and Mark Pappas (Byron).
Joshua was drawn to the seacoast area, where he resided for many years. His deep love for sailing led him to spend countless hours refurbishing and navigating his antique wooden Hinckley boat on the coastal ocean waters of New Hampshire and Maine. He greatly enjoyed exploring the charming coastal towns of Maine aboard his boat. Beyond his passion for sailing, Joshua was known for his compassionate nature and unwavering love for animals. He consistently displayed kindness, humility, and generosity, often prioritizing the needs of others above his own. Joshua possessed a quick wit that could instantly brighten any conversation, often leaving those around him in fits of laughter within minutes. Joshua's extensive knowledge about the world around him made him a force to be reckoned with in games like Trivial Pursuit during family gatherings. Everyone coveted the opportunity to be paired with Joshua, knowing they would have an intellectually stimulating and enjoyable experience.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to "The Foundation for New Hampshire Community Colleges in memory of Joshua P. Stevens to support the Lakes Region Community College electrical program." Checks may be payable to FNHCC and mailed to 26 College Drive, Concord, NH 03301, or your local SPCA. Care for the Stevens family has been entrusted to the J.S.
