Obituary

Exeter - It is with great sadness that the family of Judith Perry-Pettit, announces she passed away peacefully after a period of declining health on November 11, 2021, at Langdon Place of Exeter, NH, where she had resided for the last 4 years.

Judy was the daughter of the late Florrie (Wentzell) Perry and Charles Perry. She was born May 24,1941 in Portsmouth, NH and lived in Kittery, ME with her parents and siblings until her adult years. She graduated from Traip Academy, where she met her future husband, Sonny (Harry)

Judy married and was a stay-at-home mother during her children's younger years. She had her own business as an accomplished seamstress. Her subsequent job at Bob's Appliance eventually led her to become a Field Marketing Rep for the Whirlpool Corporation, a job she loved and excelled at.

Those who knew Judy and spent time with her were blessed with cherished life-time memories because of her genuineness, the kindness she showed to everyone she met, her love of family and friends, and, of course, her beautiful smile.

But nothing compared to the love and pride she had for her children, Jeffrey Pettit (Dawn) of Stewartstown, NH, and Coleen Johnson of Salisbury, MA.  And that same unconditional love she extended to her grandchildren, who were the bright stars in her life. Hillary Barnaby, Kaylin Pettit-Barrett (Cameron), Evan Johnson, Blake Johnson, Adelle Pettit, and Drew Pettit.

Judy will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Charlene Perry-McDaniel (Paul) of Belpre, OH and Janet Perry-Murray of Epping, NH. Judy would often reminisce of the wonderful childhood they shared and she cherished her memories of the fun trips they took together.

Judy is also dearly remembered by her ex-husband, Sonny Pettit, with whom she maintained a warm and loving friendship.

Judy's dearest friend for 53 years, Diana Romano-Flaherty, has special memories to last a lifetime. Their families seemed to merge into one, and they enjoyed many holidays, trips and get-togethers throughout the years. Judy and Diana shared a strong mutual love of each other's family and Diana continues to love Judy's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as if her own.

A special and heartfelt thank you is extended to Langdon Place of Exeter for the loving care and attention they showed to Judy. And to the Compassus Hospice nurses, who treated Judy with utmost dignity and loving concern for her comfort and well-being, Judy's family is eternally grateful.
