Obituary

Judith Marilyn Trull, 83, of Eliot, ME died on August 9th with her family by her side. Born in Portsmouth on May 21, 1939, Judy was the daughter of C. Newt and Helen (Heeney) Andrews. She was raised in Kittery, ME and was a 1957 graduate of R. W. Traip Academy.

In 1966, she married her high school sweetheart, Frank Trull, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years raising their family and welcoming many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy loved nature and her summers spent as a child either tenting at Dolly Copp or water skiing at the family camp on Lake Wentworth. She continued her love of the outdoors later in life participating in bird walks throughout the seacoast area. She maintained meticulous journals documenting her daily bird sightings which covered multiple decades. She also enjoyed her seasonal berry picking with her friends.

An animal lover, she had a variety of pets over the years, including ferrets (Baby & Waddy), a cockatiel (Rosie), a rabbit (Bun Bun), and cats (Pumpkin & Ellie). She even adopted a local squirrel (Twee) who would wait at the slider for a regular supply of peanuts.

She and Frank caught the traveling bug and enjoyed numerous chartered bus trips with good friends. Among their many journeys were 3 cross country trips where they were able to visit many National Parks and Zoos.

She loved games and puzzles: crosswords, logic problems, cryptograms. Many nights she would be found sitting on the floor with her three-deck solitaire game spread out in front of her. The family could always count on an in-progress jigsaw puzzle on the card table. And she had a strict rule: you have to complete the edges first!

She wasn't content with the music from 'her generation' and always kept current with the latest rock-n-roll, attending Rod Stewart, Aerosmith, and even Great White concerts.

She had a few unique collections, including the countless number of beanie babies. But for her, she enjoyed the time spent with friends obtaining them just as much as having them.

She especially loved having her grandkids over for visits. The trips to the market to get their 'special' food, playing 'Nancy Drew' computer games and the fun-filled trip to York's Wild Kingdom, all the grandkids loved their one-on-one time with 'Grammy and Grandpa'. And, they all appreciated the effort she and Frank put in to obtaining their collections of the state quarters.

Judy is survived by her husband, Frankie, her daughter Donna and her husband Lee Emery of Shapleigh, ME; her son Alan and his wife Sherrie Trull of Scarborough, ME; her son Bruce and his wife Michelle of Rollinsford, NH; and her daughter Kelly and her husband Dana Hurrell of York, ME; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
