Obituary

Kittery, ME - Kenneth F. Fisher, 89, passed away at home on February 9, 2023, after a brief period of failing health.  He was born June 8, 1933 in Portsmouth NH.  The son of Harry P. Fisher and Mary Woods.  After graduating from Traip Academy, Ken joined the Navy.  After leaving the navy, Ken went to work at Public Service Company of NH where he retired from there as a first-class chemist.  After retiring, Ken and his wife, Peggy, headed north to their camp on Schoodic Lake, where he wanted to live.  In his earlier years, Ken was active in coaching football, basketball, and baseball in Kittery.  He enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, and generally being in the Maine North Woods.  Ken guided many canoe trips down the Allagash and St. Johns River, moose hunts for those lucky enough to be chosen, put together several white-water rafting trips down the West Branch of the Penobscot, Dead, and Kennebec Rivers, and held annual hunting, ice fishing, and spring fishing trips out of his camp every year since 1970.  Ken was full of life, liked to party, and enjoyed sharing his stories/adventures in the Maine North Woods while drinking a beer or a shot of dr mcgillicuddy.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Peggy (Lawrence) Fisher, daughter, Susan Lindsey & spouse Desmond; son Tim Fisher & Spouse Katie; daughter Judy Coupal & spouse Chip; stepdaughter, Sherri Martin & spouse Bob; stepson, Al Romano, Jr. & spouse Cindy; stepdaughter, Julie Ethridge; stepson, Rick Romano & spouse Mary; stepson, Charles Romano & spouse Karlene Maine; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, brother Robert Fisher & spouse Rosanne.  Ken is predeceased by his older brother Harry (Bud) Fisher.
