Kenneth Edward
Lewis
May 23, 1959 — Dec 4, 2021
South China, ME – Kenneth Edward Lewis, 62, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, December 4, in Brooksville, FL. He was born on May 23, 1959, in York, ME, to Hartley Edward Lewis and Natalie Pearl Lewis (Blake).
Ken was able to find friends wherever he went, let it be from his love for poker, fishing, Boston Red Sox, time at the VFW or local pub, where he especially loved his happy hour. He also loved finding a bargain, even if it took him across town to save that $0.02 on a gallon of gas! If anyone could find a proper bargain, it was Ken.
He spent his summers relaxing up on China Lake and his winters staying warm down in Brooksville, FL. He worked at Hanscom Truck Stop in Portsmouth for years under Buzzy and spent 24 years as the owner of Suds n' More in Kittery. Ken was known for his witty sarcasm and wicked Maine accent, something everyone will surely miss.
Ken is predeceased by his father, Hartley Lewis.
He is survived by his mother Natalie Lewis, siblings: Diane Lewis, David Lewis and his wife Diane Lewis, nephews: Anthony Yorke II, Kenneth Yorke, and Devon Lewis, as well as nieces Sarah Yorke and Alisha Phipps, several great nieces and nephews, and his beloved canine companion, Cody.
