Kittery- Kenneth S. McNabb passed away unexpectedly en route to the hospital on July 19th, 2025. He had recently fallen several times and was being cared for at Cedar Health Care.

Ken was born on October 12th, 1940, the youngest of six children to Charles McNabb and Ramana (Hill) McNabb.

He grew up in Portsmouth, graduating from Portsmouth High School in 1959. He always enjoyed and tried to attend his many high school reunions.

Kenneth married his loving wife, Susan F Combs, on October 30th, 1966, and they had two children. They moved to Kittery in 1970, where he lived until his passing.

Ken served in the United States Navy for nearly six years and joined the Army National Guard, as well as worked for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring from both.

Toward the end of his life, he particularly enjoyed playing poker with his friend Martin, going to dinner and a movie with his niece Linda, and spending time at the Portsmouth Senior Center, where he worked on puzzles.

He also started attending church on Sundays at Second Christian Congregational Church in Kittery with his friends Ernie and Sharon Wiswell. He leaves behind his brother, William McNabb, and his wife, Alice; his two children, Heidi and Greg; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home on October 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
