Portsmouth - Laurie A. Malm, 48, of Portsmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 11th.

Laurie was born on August 29th, 1972, the daughter of the late William Malm and Cheryl (Anderson) Goodwin, in San Antonio, TX. In 1990, Laurie graduated from Traip Academy in Kittery, ME.

In 1998, Laurie gave birth to her twin sons, with whom she attended several twins' festivals in Twinsburg, OH, with her best friend Heidi. She started her career working at the old Silo Bakery in Kittery and ended it working at the Northeast Credit Union in Portsmouth.

Laurie made fast friends with the other mommies, while living on Union Street, and was continually active in her kid's school events. She enjoyed taking trips to Rhode Island to visit with relatives and attended ComicCon twice in Providence, RI. An avid reader, she loved to read all kinds of books.  She was also a devoted pen pal.

Over the years, Laurie enjoyed dancing, karaoke, volleyball, bowling, roller skating, shopping, going to the movies, collecting stickers, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She loved iced coffee, scary movies, purses, fun socks, sparkly make-up, scratch tickets, taking selfies, journaling, the TV show "Friends" and the movie "Mama Mia" just to name a few things.

Laurie is survived by her mother (Cheryl Goodwin), her two sons (Zachary and Ryan Malm), several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Services: A memorial Visitation will take place Friday, June 18th, from 5-7p, at the JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd, Kittery, Maine, 03904.
