South Berwick- Lawrence Tobey , 77 of South Berwick died on October 6, 2016 at his home following a period of failing health. Born on February 4, 1939 he was a son of the late Harry and Valentine Tobey. He was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyyard for over thirty years retiring in 1994. Lawrence is survived by his wife Stephanie ( Cornish ) Tobey of South Berwick, son Lawrence and his wife Renee Tobey of South Berwick, daughters Dana and her husband Christopher Howland of South Berwick and Shannon O'Brien, grandchildren, Katherine, Devon, Christopher, Cameron, Lillian, and Corbin, and great grandchildren Taylor and David as well as his brother Gardener and his wife Anita Tobey of South Berwick. Friends are invited to visit with Lawrence's family from 5-7pm on Tuesday in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904, where a funeral will be celebrated at 7pm with the Rev.
