Obituary

Leola Webb, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 25, 2023 at the Dover Center for Health and Rehabilitation, in Dover, NH. Beloved Wife of Mr. Pricie Nathaniel Webb, she is Survived by three sons, Ronal A. Webb, Michael T. Webb and Maurice K. Webb.

She Born in Marksville, Louisiana on January 14,1934, the daughter of Reverend Remus Thomas of Marksville, Louisiana and stepdaughter to Mrs. Alice Thomas of Marksville, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and resident of Kittery, Maine since 1972.

She was a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Prairie View A & M in Prairie View, Texas. Before marriage, she was a Full Time Junior High School Teacher and Part Time Nurse in Denver, Colorado.

On May 21, 1960, she married Air Force Staff Sargent Pricie N. Webb in Denver, Colorado. She was a very loving, committed, and skilled housewife, homemaker, and mother. She was active member in New Hope Baptist Church as a choir member and volunteer from 1972 until the late 1990s. She and husband Pricie were very active members of the local NAACP chapter until the late 1990s. She was Very committed to the struggle for civil and human rights, and the fight to end racism, hate and bring greater justice in society.

Leola was a devoted wife and awesome mother to three sons. Her husband Pricie retired from the United States Air Force after 27 and a half years as Senior Master Sargent, retiring on Pease Air Force Base as Base Fire Chief and later retiring as Base Fire Chief at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

We could count on her for both advice or a shoulder to lean on. Leola and Pricie provided a great home and a wonderful supportive household for their three sons. Leola loved to talk and debate about society and politics and the criminal justice system. She was a somewhat reserved but warm and caring person to others, especially to her friends. She was Loved and Will Be Missed.

Services: Friends and family are invited to a Time of Visitation at 2pm on Friday, May 5 th , 2023 at the J S Pelkey and Sone Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd, Kittery, ME 03904. A Memorial Service will follow the Time of Visitation at 3pm and a Reception with a light meal from 4pm to 5pm.
