Dover- Leonard Masters Small Jr, 98 of Dover Point, died peacefully on May 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Born on August 23, 1923 he was a son of the late Leonard Sr and Lillian (Soars) Small. He and his loving wife Marie moved to Dover in 1960, where they continued to raise their family while he worked as an engineer for General Electric for forty two years.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving as a submariner on the Razorback. He was a talented woodworker, craftsman and gifted sailor, enjoying a lifetime membership at the Portsmouth Yacht Club. He was also a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

His first love was unquestionably his family; he is survived by his children; Dr. Leonard "Skip" Small III. of Barrington,  Teddie Vietor of NYC, Jacquelyn Small of Dover, NH and Beverly Small of Boxford, MA, grandchildren; Matthew Small, Shawn Vietor Morehead, Stephanie Small, Michael Vietor, Jeremy Small, Abigail Small and thirteen great grandchildren.

Friends are invited to join his family on Sunday May 15, 2021 from 6-8pm in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Newington, NH for an informal gathering.
