Lillian "Bonnie"
Graves
Sep 14, 1940 — Apr 8, 2026
Lillian "Bonnie" (Parks) Graves passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, at Webster at Rye.
She was born on September 14, 1940, in Bath, Maine, the daughter of Charles and Roberta Parks.
Bonnie graduated from Brunswick High School and Farmington State Teachers College, earning a degree in Home Economics. She taught in Old Orchard Beach and Wells, Maine. In later years she served as a long-term substitute teacher and worked with the Special Education Department in Kittery.
She is survived by her husband, Philip Graves of Wells, Maine; her brother, Clifford Parks and his wife, Debbie, of Longwood, Florida; and her three sons: Christopher Graves and his wife, Stacey, of York, Maine; Jeffrey Graves and his wife, Tonia, of Tucson, Arizona; and Jason Graves and his wife, Jennifer, of Eliot, Maine.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Orion, Evan, Owen, Isabella and Emma as well as two great-granddaughters, Mina and Thalia. Bonnie is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by her brother Roger Parks of Casselberry, Florida
Bonnie was a woman of quiet talent, whose gifts were most beautifully expressed through the work of her hands. She found deep joy and purpose in rug hooking, knitting, and reading, and took special delight in knitting sweaters for friends and family to welcome their newborn children. Her creations were made with care and love, and she was often complimented on both the sweaters she knit and the rugs she hooked. Bonnie will forever remain in our hearts.
The family would like to thank Dr. and Mrs. William Coomey, the wonderful staff at Webster at Rye, and Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care.
Visitation will take place at JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home. 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, ME, on Thursday, April 16, from 4-6p. Care for the Graves family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home.
