Kittery Point- Lillian H. True, 101 ,widow of Harry True who passed away in 2008, a long time resident of Duncan Way in Kittery Point, died on July 1, 2015 at York Hospital surounded by her loving family. Born on June 24, 1914 in Lower Island Cove, Conception Bay Newfoundland Canada she was a daughter of Levi and Caroline ( Bursey ) Snelgrove. Lillian and Harry made their home on Duncan Way in Kittery when it was just a path along the cove, enjoying many years their together raising a family. While Harry was working in Guam he and Lillian made a home there from 1967-1973 before returning to Kittery Point. She was very instrumental in growing the March of Dimes program here in the Kittery area. She enjoyed membership in the Kittery Garden Club, and was an active member at the York Golf and Tennis Club for many years. Her flower gardens were the center piece of her lovely property and she was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and critic. Most recently she made her home at Kittery Estates where she made a wonderful family of friends and was active in nearly every offering there. She became a wonderful artist, enjoying art classes every Tuesday. Lillian is survived by her daughters Jean and her husband Arnold Dickinson of KitteryKaren True Samson and Carol Boykin and their families both of Califoria, grandchildren; Michael and his wife Kerri Dickinson and Debbie Dickinson Hartman, and great grandchildren Matthew And Christopher.The family is grateful for the special care she received at the Strater wing of York Hospital during the past two weeks.
