Somersworth, NH - Linda Patterson Hathaway, 73, passed away on March 18, 2021 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital after battling rheumatoid arthritis of the lungs.

Born on June 14th, 1947, the daughter of the late Edmund and Irene Patterson, Linda was a native of Somersworth. She grew up in "Patterson Village" with her siblings and many cousins.

Linda found great joy in helping others. She worked as a paramedic for South Berwick Rescue and later started her own business "Aroma Touch Spa and Facials," where her clients were very special to her. She had many passions at various stages of her life; spending time at Lily Pond, riding horses with her late husband at Rodden Farm, writing stories and poems, caring for her cats, watching movies, and reading 19th century history. Her greatest passion, however, was spending time with her children and grandchildren who called her Gigi (a name which became her signature).

Linda was one of a kind and had a knack for turning an adversary into a friend. Always willing to open her doors and heart to those in need, Linda was a "second mom" to many. She was a wonderful storyteller, especially family tales and jokes around a campfire, always leading the party with her infectious laugh (cackle) that will be missed by many.

She is predeceased by her husband Bill Hathaway and her beloved daughter Kendra Alexis.

She is survived by her daughter Sheri Reed and her husband Mark, her grandson Andrew Reed, her granddaughter Brittany Martin and her husband Joel, her cherished great grandson Reed Robert Martin, her sister June Picard and her husband John, her brother Eddie Patterson and his wife Charlotte, her brother Brian Patterson and his wife Brenda, niece Linda Consaul, nephew Jason Patterson, niece Breanna Pettengill, and nephew Brandon Patterson, many dear cousins and grand nieces and nephews.
