York Maine- Our Mom, Lois A. Kashmer, 96 of Mill Lane in York, died on December 12, 2024 at her

home, feeling loved by her family.

Born on March 24, 1928 a daughter of the late Hermon and Alice (Dixon) Hering.

She met and married her loving husband Joseph L. Kashmer and built their home on Mill Lane. They

loved their home, and raising a family and their many trips to Vermont.

In her younger years she worked at La Salles Dept Store in Toledo Ohio, Welpro Shoe in Rye, NH,

Kittery Information Center and her years at York Flower Shop in York Maine.

Active in her community she enjoyed time with her Garden Club, the "Christmas Club" starting in

1959, rug braiding group, Dowsing group, Faith Circle and her passion for Homeopathic Study

Group.

Whether you know her as Mom, Ma, Gram, Grammy Lois, or GiGi to her four beloved generations of

family everyone knew she adored her hugs from them as she walked them to the door. She adored all

her time spent with family, especially time at Christmas decorating the tree. Lois loved watching

Girdie the turkey and the mama raccoon and babies as well as the deer in the yard and the many

birds enjoying her feeder. She also adored her cats at one point nine at one time. She was also

amused as her son brought a cow to his farm and named it "Lois". She was an avid gardener and

loved tending to her flowers especially her day Lilys.

With a keen memory and sharp mind, she loved reminiscing about her visits with Grammy and Pa

Dixon in South Eliot.

Lois will be remembered by her many dear friends and large family, she will be missed dearly missed until we

meet again.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Lytle, son Larry and Nancy Kashmer, grand, great and great,

great grandchildren ; Nancy Jo Haarmann and Joe, Larry and Trish Kashmer, Taylor Kashmer,

Matthew Kashmer, Rebecca Davis and Bryan, Jonathan Kashmer and Misty, Johnna Burkett and

Zach, Ellanor Burkett, Maeve Burkett, Jenna Place and Aidan, Atlas Place, Asher Place, Nathaniel

and Sheila Lytle, Owen and Julia, Marci and Chris Martel, and Maia and Jacob.

Friends are invited to join her family on Saturday May 10th at 2pm in Living Water Church on Route

236 in Eliot to celebrate her life.
