Lorayne Carliss , 92 of Kittery, Maine died on June 23, 2018 at Frisbee Memorial Hospital with family around following a period of failing health.

Born March 14, 1926 in Chicago, she was the daughter of  Milton Baldock and Christine Funke Baldock .  Upon graduation from high school she attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Following graduation she worked as a telephone operator and assisted her father in his baking products business.

She spent 20 plus years as a homemaker in Elmhurst, Illinois raising two sons. She returned to school as a teacher in Glendale Heights, Illinois where she taught multiple grades for 27 years. During that time she also earned her Masters degree.

She was an avid golfer, playing into her mid 80's. She loved to travel with her late husband and enjoyed volunteering at local museums in suburban Chicago, Melbourne Florida where she spent many winters and Kittery Maine.

Lorayne was predeceased by her late husband, Richard Carliss . She is survived by her sons Dale and Suzi Tellefsen of Eliot, Maine and Darl and Kathleen Tellefsen of Minneapolis, MN. Grandchildren, Stormy Carroll, Reggie and his wife, Suzanne Tellefsen , Troy Tellefsen , Tait Tellefsen and Tory Fedel and her husband Steven , eight great grandchildren and her brother, Don Baldock of Tempe, Arizona
