Lorraine M. Dumais, 77, of Somersworth, NH, died Friday, September 14, 2012, at the Riverside Rest Home in Dover, NH after a period of failing health. Lorraine was born in Sanford, Maine, June 26, 1935 the daughter of George and Delphine (Morgeal) Guillemette. She was the wife of Paul Dumais, Jr., formerly of Somersworth. Her family relocated to Newmarket, NH where she attended the local schools. Prior to retirement, Lorraine worked at Weiss-Lawrence and Somersworth Shoe. Her interests included a love for her cats, collecting angels, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and she particularly appreciated the music of Elvis Presley. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, her siblings Delphine, George and David (all residing in Florida); several nieces, nephews and beloved in-laws. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as a brother Louis Guillemette. Lorraine was a longtime communicant of St. Martin Church in Somersworth. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19th from 9:45-10:45 am at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth, NH. Followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am in St. Martin Church, Somersworth with Rev. Michael S. Taylor, pastor as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bernier Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Rest Home, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital nursing staff and Beacon Hospice for their care and comfort given to Lorraine.
